These fret files are compact enough to work even on the higher fret position close to the body. The silicone rubber band securely holds the file. Fine and coarse file teeth on both ends make the fret crown work more efficiently. The rubber band showing coarseness and filing direction has been designed for usability.

This fret crown file is suitable for stainless steel frets. A hard chrome coating is applied to the preceding model to enable it for crowning harder frets. The file itself is also more durable.

This file is a double-cut file for ebony, rosewood and pearl inlays but is also suitable for fretwork. Despite its rough appearance, it leaves a smooth finish. It cuts smoother than most fret leveling files, they work quickly and they’re great for dressing and beveling fret ends.

It works on stainless frets too! Modern stainless-steel fretwire is known to be harder than the traditional nickel-silver blends, but our own shop experience indicates the wire does not cause premature wear of this file.
